Fish Pie

  • 30 Grams White fish
  • 30 Grams Smoked Haddock
  • 30 Grams Salmon
  • 12 King Prawns (I use a bag of frozen pre cooked)
  • 1/2 L milk
  • 25 Grams Flour
  • 25 Grams Butter
  • 1 kilo Potatoes
  • Butter for mashing
  • 1Salt & Pepper


  1. Peal and cut the potatoes salt and put on to boil
  2. Put the milk into a pan over a medium heat, cut the fish into bite size chunks and place into the milk
  3. The fish need about 15 minutes to poach then remove and place into a casserole dish, you should cover the bottom
  4. In the milk add the butter and flour and whisk until the sauce thickens, when ready pour over the fish you need to cover the fish
  5. When the potatoes are soft remove and drain
  6. Mash with butter and season with salt and pepper
  7. pipe or spoon the potato over the sauce covering the dish, smooth over with a folk the sprinkle over the grated cheese.
  8. Place in a pre heated oven 200 c for 30 minutes, best served with peas serves 4 people
