- 350g Minced beef
- 1 Large onion
- 1Tin chopped tomatoes
- 1 Large Garlic clove
- 100g Sliced mushrooms
- Heaped tablespoon tomato puree
- Teaspoon paprika
- Teaspoon mixed herbs
- Splash of Worcester sauce
- 2 Tablespoons beef grave granules
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 100g cheddar cheese
- Parmesan
- Fry the onions and garlic in a little oil until onions are translucent, add the mixed herbs, paprika and minced beef, cook until the beef is cooked through.
- Add the tomato purée, tinned tomatoes and sliced mushrooms and cook for a few minutes, add the Worcester sauce and gravy granules you may need to add a little water at this point.
- Cook this for about 10 minutes.
- Make the white sauce, follow my recipe for this.
- Now to build the lasagne.
- Put a thin layer of the beef sauce in the bottom of an oven proof dish, then a small amount of white sauce cover this with sheets of pasta, (I always used shop bought its cheap and simpler).
- Do this until you have about 4 layers (depending on the type of dish you use) finishing with white sauce. Great over some strong cheddar cheese and sprinkle with some parmesan cheese.
- Place in the oven at 180 for about 40 minutes
