- 2 Tins of plumb tomatoes
- 30 Grams fresh Basil
- 1 small onion
- 3 cloves of garlic
- Salt & pepper
- Vegetable oil
- Tomato puree if required
- Finely chop the onion and crush the garlic in a pan with some oil. Cook over a low heat until onions are translucent about 7 – 8 minutes
- Add the 2 tins of tomatoes mixing them in crush them slowly against the side of the pan and reduce the sauce down slowly over about an hour.
- Add the finely chopped basil to the pan and cook of about 5 minutes, if required thicken with a spoonful of tomato puree
